After suffering with back pains and chatting to a few medical professionals I was recommended to give pilates a go! In the past I have tried numerous different exercise classes & gyms programmes, but found Claire's classes a refreshing change. The classes are small enough for her to concentrate on the individual needs of each member of the class, Claire takes notice of your weaknesses/needs & even looked up specific exercises for a circulatory issue that I have. It is such a nice change to feel supported by Claire rather than just feeling like a number in an exercise class. I really enjoy the classes & have started noticing a small change in my flexibility, I am a little restricted though due to an injury, but I definitely plan to continue!!! Julia (Wokingham) |

Just five weeks later I have reduced my medication by a small amount without realising it until several hours later. Berkshire Pilates - I know its early days, but many thanks - and with your further help maybe I can reduce my medication even more. There are only a few sessions left but I cannot wait until the next course; the confidence it has given me back in myself is amazing. Karen (Lower Earley) |

The first session I was anxious, as there is so much that I am not allowed to do, but that didn’t matter as the people within the class were at all levels. The class sizes are small and the instructor is able to keep an eye on everyone to check they are in the correct position with gentle reminders of what you can and cannot do if you have back problems. The exercises are so gentle and slow individuals know their own limits, if you have back problems there is always another exercise that you can do if that one does not suit you and the instructor gives so much guidance to you personally. |

"I had tried pilates a few times before but didn't enjoy it very much. I felt intimidated by how much more advanced everyone else in the class seemed and I felt the tutors didn't have much time to teach me at a slower pace. Claire's personalised approach to teaching makes me feel as though I am getting one-to-one tutoring. I have learnt so much about how my body works - in particular how to protect my back whilst exercising by using the correct muscles groups to move. This is helping to improve my performance in the other sports and activities I take part in and has increased my overall fitness. I am enjoying her classes immensely because I am learning at my own pace... and seeing results! Caroline (Lower Earley) |

I always feel a sense of physical and mental well-being after Claire's pilates lessons. The class size is small enough for us all to benefit from individual attention, and Claire is particularly skilful at bringing out the best in everyone, giving plenty of encouragement to each of us whatever our own ability. It's great fun as well, a really enjoyable way to do yourself some good! Chris (Wokingham) |

'Having had back problems for the last 9 years due to a waterskiing injury I've tried a few different ways to alleviate the aching but nothing seemed to work. I found Claire and Berkshire Pilates online - you couldn't meet anyone more passionate about Pilates and what it can do for you than Claire. Claire herself is proof that it really works. She bent over backwards trying to fit me in to one of her many classes and made me feel very welcome after first having a one to one session. I recently found out I was in the early stages of pregnancy and advised Claire who researched and then tailored my exercises during class. Because the classes are smaller you really get that care and attention that you would find if you were having one to one sessions. I'm finding I'm not so achy as usual and know this is down to Pilates. I can't recommend Claire enough. Natalie (Earley) |

Since joining Berkshire Pilates my lower back problem has certainly improved and the guidance and personal attention given by Claire (the instructor) has been very helpful and given me confidence to do the exercises in my own environment as well as in the class. The class size is ideal and the equipment needed is always available. Denise (Wokingham) |

Enjoyable sessions and excellent teaching resulting in incredible inch loss from waist and upper legs (as a 57 year old its great for any age!). Highly recommended and better than any diets I've tried. Will be back for the next course! Jen (Lower Earley) |

I underwent a spinal fusion 19 years ago and I was always aware that the surgery would leave me with weaknesses further up and down my back in later years. I was left on permanent medication after having my second child in 1997 and tried all sorts of remedies including spinal injections, acupuncture, hydrotherapy, gym programmes, yoga and complimentary medicine. I was continually being told of how good pilates would be for my back; being fed up with taking medication for so long on a daily basis I finally gave it ago with Berkshire Pilates |

Heres’ what a few of my clients have to say about Berkshire-Pilates... |

I am enjoying the sessions and find it beneficial. I like the fact that it is not high impact like aerobics. Claire explains the exercises very well and pays attention to each individual. Thank you. Bernadette (Wokingham) |

I really enjoy the classes and they have definitely strengthened my back as I’ve not noticed any back pain in the 4 months I have been doing Pilates. Sally (Earley) |
